PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron multiplier capable of simplifying its structure by reducing number of terminals for internal electrode connection while stabilizing detection sensitivity. SOLUTION: The photomultiplier tube 1 includes an electron multiplying portion 7, which is formed by laminating dynodes 10 having electron multiplier holes 9 mulitiplying incidence electrons, to a plurality of steps. Between the dynodes 10 of two adjacent steps, an insulating spacer 12a having a conductive path 25 connecting electrically the dynodes 10 of the two steps is arranged respectively, and part of the conductive path 25 is formed by a resistor 28 covered by an insulator.
