The method involves using an element (2) acting as an inductance for the charging and discharging current. The charging and discharging currents are at least partly passed through the same inductive element. The inductive element is a coil. The piezoelectric element (111,121,..) is charged by repeatedly opening and closing a charging switch (3); closing the switch stores energy in the inductance and opening the switch causes the stored energy to be output to the piezoelectric element. |
