<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cooperatively and appropriately control a fixed speed travel controller and a safety device when a vehicle passes a curve existing ahead of the traveling direction of the vehicle during carrying out of fixed speed travel control. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the current speed VP of a vehicle detected by a speed sensor 33 is larger than a proper speed VS, and the deceleration intention of a driver is detected by a driver's intention detecting part 67, an operating part 64 operates a brake actuator 15 through a brake control part 44 to automatically decelerate the vehicle. When the acceleration intention of the driver is detected by the driver's intention detecting part 67 in a status in which the brake actuator 15 is operated during the carrying out of the fixed speed travel control by the fixed speed travel control part 65, the operating part 64 stops the operation of the brake actuator 15 to stop the deceleration of the vehicle, and a target speed updating part 66 updates and sets the current speed VP of the vehicle detected by the speed sensor 33 as a target speed VO.
