A channel converting method of a digital television is provided to change the current channel into an analog channel of the same broadcast when the receive sensitivity of a digital broadcasting channel is continuously maintained in or below a threshold value. When a digital broadcasting channel is selected, the receive sensitivity of the digital broadcasting channel is checked to determine whether the receive sensitivity is a threshold value or less(S50-S70). If the receive sensitivity is the threshold value or less, it is determined whether the state of the receive sensitivity is continuously maintained for a predetermined time(S80). If so, an analog broadcasting channel which broadcasts the same contents as the digital broadcasting channel(S100).
