[Also in Group X] A rotary joint in a conduit for supplying concrete in the casting in situ of circular towers or similar structures (see Group X) comprises a stationary cylindrical base portion 11 formed at its upper end with a flanged socket 12, in which is disposed a rotary sleeve 14, a gland packing 16 compressed by an adjustable sleeve 17 being disposed between the socket 12 and sleeve 14. The upper end of the sleeve 14 is provided with connecting elements 20 adapted to interlock with projections on the inner end of a conduit and is also formed with a flange 21 connected by distance bolts 22 with a ring 23 which freely surrounds the socket 12. Ball races 24, 25 are disposed respectively between the ring 23 and socket flange 13 and between the flange 21 and a distance member 26 supported from the flange 13, the ball races and their associated components being enclosed by a dust cover 28.
