<p>An apparatus, and related method, for monitoring and controlling the traffic of transport systems, such as railway vehicles, wherein the vehicles include device elements, such as satellite positioning systems, monitored by a series of centralized units to monitor and control adjacent areas. In case of anomalous traffic situations, the system and method provides proper alarm signals and signals for automatically putting into action the breaking systems of the vehicles. To do so, the devices can interface with breaking means and sensors placed along the railway paths and in the vehicles, and exchange positioning data or other kinds of data of various sensors, among vehicles running within a certain mutual distance and can further include a secured memory means for storing data, information and parameters.</p> |
