<p>It is intended to configure a disc brake pad which can also prevent a friction material from partially coming off in an efficient way. The disc brake pad comprises reinforcing plates (14) and friction material pieces (16) fixed to the reinforcing plates (14). There are provided a plurality of protruding parts (25) sticking out from a surface where each friction material piece (16) is fixed to the reinforcing plate (14). The protruding parts (25) has a height which is large enough to reach a frictional surface of each friction material piece (16) or the proximity of the frictional surface, and the protruding parts (25) are affixed to each friction material piece (16). A base material of the protruding parts (25) is the same as that of the friction material pieces (16). The protruding parts (25) are fixed to the reinforcing plates (14) by mechanical fixing means.</p> |
