<p>The device has a mechanically sealed measuring device (10) e.g. weighing machine, and a signed software component for processing measured values of the measuring device. The measuring device is connected to an arithmetic unit (50) of the device. The software component is saved on a storage medium (11) i.e. USBstick. The storage medium is provided with a mechanically sealed write protect switch, and is connected to the arithmetic unit. A delivery station e.g. self-service machine, for franking of postal items e.g. letters. An independent claim is also included for a method for securing a signed software component.</p> |
