A memory variable control device and a method are provided to improve the performance of system by controlling the memory timing variable based on the system status and the memory use status. A controller(21) is contacted with a CPU(Central Processing Unit)(20). The controller controls a memory unit(22) and peripheral units. An input/output control unit(24) controls the neighboring input-output. A driver(23) operates the controller. An OS(Operating System)(25) controls the memory variable value based on the system status/memory use status. The memory variable value comprises at least one of the tCAS(CAS latency), the tRCD(Activate to CAS Delay) and tRP(Precharge to Activate Delay). A temperature sensor(28) senses the temperature of system. |
