A digital/analog broadcast display apparatus and a method thereof are provided to display the digital broadcast on the overall screen after displaying a corresponding analog broadcast on a small-sized screen of a PIP when the receiving state of a digital broadcasting signal is bad. A tuner(1) receives an analog broadcast of the same contents as a digital broadcast. An MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group) decoder(2) decodes a digital broadcasting signal received in the tuner. A controller(3) confirms the receiving state of the digital broadcasting signal. If the digital broadcasting signal is abnormal, the controller controls the frequency conversion of the tuner. A scaler(4) displays the digital broadcast received through the tuner on a PIP screen together with the analog broadcast without muting the digital broadcast. |
