A method for preventing incorrect operation in a remote controller is provided to prevent the incorrect operation by ignoring a detected signal when environmental noise, which is not the signal of the remote controller, is continuously detected. An infrared receiver checks whether a signal is detected or not(S11). When the signal is detected, it is checked whether duration of the detected signal is over a predetermined time(S12). When the duration is below the predetermined time, the detected signal is determined as the normal signal of the remote controller and a corresponding operation is performed(S13). When the duration is over the predetermined time, the detected signal is ignored by determining the detected signal as the signal detected by noise, and a current operation state is maintained(S14). |
