A nut made of a sheet material is provided to improve the stability of coupling between the nut and an object while ensuring light weight by pressing the nut and the object placed on a press die. A nut made of a sheet material comprises an outer cylindrical part(1), a polygonal flange part(2) formed on one end of the outer cylindrical part, an inner cylindrical part which is extended from the other end of the outer cylindrical part to be parallel to but apart from the surface of the outer cylindrical part, and a semi-circular recess formed on the circumference of the outer cylindrical part. Screw thread(3) is formed on the inside surface of the inner cylindrical part.
