POLYVINYL ALCOHOL POLYMER FILM AND POLARIZATION FILM

A method for manufacturing a polyvinyl alcohol polymer film is provided to obtain a polyvinyl alcohol film useful as materials of a polarization film capable of preparing large-sized liquid crystal display. A polyvinyl alcohol polymer film(6) for a polarization film comprises polyhydric alcohol 1~30 parts by weight based on polyvinyl alcohol 100.0 parts by weight. The retardation difference between two points separated from each other by 1 cm in the TD direction is set to 4 nm or less. A method of producing a polyvinyl alcohol polymer film comprises the step of melt-extruding the polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer solution to form a film.
