A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to first form an insulating layer pattern having a concavo-convex shape, thereby forming a sustain capacitor having a concavo-convex shape on the insulating layer pattern while forming a gate line and a gate electrode. A display device comprises a substrate(10), the first insulating layer pattern(50), the first sustain electrode(134), the second insulating layer(100) and the second sustain electrode(135). The first insulating layer pattern is formed on the substrate. The first insulating layer pattern has a concavo-convex shape. The first sustain electrode covers an upper part and a side of the first insulating layer pattern. The first sustain electrode has a concavo-convex shape. The second insulating layer is formed on the first sustain electrode. The second sustain electrode is formed on an upper part of the second insulating layer corresponding to the first sustain electrode.
