A method for manufacturing a swing drive shaft of a construction machine is provided to prevent cut-off of flow line of the drive shaft tooth profile by forming the teeth through forging process. A method for manufacturing a swing drive shaft of a construction machine comprises a forward extrusion step for extruding a material(100) downward to the front and forming a preform(120) having an axis(130) from the bottom of the material, and a forging step for supporting the axis of the preform with a die to form teeth on a large diameter part(140) of the preform and forming the teeth in the traverse direction by compressing an exterior part(141) of the preform large diameter part with the die. During the teeth forming step, a back side(142) of the preform keeps the material from moving upward.
