A method for changing a switchboard is provided to quickly change a port and continuously offer a service through the network by enabling each service board to change the port to a second switchboard when abnormality occurrence information of a first switchboard is directly received from a chassis manager. When a message is received from a chassis manager, each service board checks whether the message is related to a first switchboard(506). When the message is not related, each service board continuously performs communication through the first switchboard. When the message is related, each service board determines to continuously use the communication through the first switchboard or use the communication through a second switchboard by determining whether the message is related to failure of the first switchboard(516). |
