Specifically disclosed is an exhaust gas purifying catalyst (1) comprising a base (2), an oxygen storage layer (3) covering the base (2) and containing an oxygen storage material, and a catalyst layer (4) covering the oxygen storage layer (3) and containing palladium, rhodium and a carrier supporting them. The catalyst layer (4) has a higher noble metal density than the oxygen storage layer (3). |
