A defogging device of a vehicle air-conditioning system is provided to prevent a compressor from excessively consuming power to thereby improve the fuel efficiency of a vehicle and reduce vehicle maintenance cost. A defogging device of a vehicle air-conditioning system includes a defog sensor(30) and a controller(56). The defog sensor senses the indoor humidity of a vehicle. The controller outputs a defogging mode signal when the indoor humidity sensed by the defog sensor is greater than compressor on reference humidity to driver a compressor(7) and gradually decreases capacity of the compressor in proportion to the indoor humidity when the indoor humidity decreases to compressor off reference humidity in a defogging mode.
