LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided to raise the display quality by preventing the direct current after image or smudge. A liquid crystal display comprises an LCD panel(70), a data driving circuit(73), a gate driving circuit(74), and a timing controller(71). The LCD panel has the gate lines(G1 to Gn), the data lines(D1 to Dm) and a liquid crystal cell(C1c). The data driving circuit inverts the polarity of data voltage which is supplied to the data line in response to the first and second polarity control signal groups. The gate driving circuit supplies the gate pulse to the gate line. The timing controller controls the data driving circuit and the gate driving circuit by generating the polarity control signal. Each of first and second polarity control signal groups has the different polarity control signals.
