<p>An apparatus for cutting glass fiber insulating material is provided to enable to cut it accurately using high-pressure waterjet, thereby producing standardized products. An apparatus(1) for cutting a glass fiber insulating material using waterjet comprises: a worktable(3) on which a cylindrical glass fiber insulating material is placed; a pair of frames(4,5) installed on the both sides of the worktable; a pair of moving bodies(6,7) located on the frames respectively; a moving unit located inside the frame to reciprocate the moving bodies along the longitudinal direction of the frame; spray nozzles(10,11) installed on the end of a fixing unit; a spray nozzle moving unit for controlling the distances between the spray nozzle and the glass fiber insulating material; a waterjet supply source for supplying a high-pressure waterjet fluid to the spray nozzle; an opening and closing unit installed in the spray nozzle to open or close a channel for the waterjet fluid; a support unit for supporting the cut glass fiber insulating material; a plurality of proximity sensors for sensing the moving distance of the spray nozzle; and a controller(13).</p> |
