A coating composition for a steel pipe is provided to ensure excellent anti-bacterial performance, corrosion resistance, long replace period and durability, to be usable in water, and to exhibit continuous antibacterial effects. A method for manufacturing a coating composition for a steel pipe comprises the steps of: mixing epoxy resin of 10-40%, dispersing agent of 0.1-5%, aliphatic thickener of 0.1-5%, and a polyestersiloxaneb-based silicone additive of 0.1-5% based o the total weight of the coating composition; adding titanium oxide of 1-15%, talc of 1-15%, silica of 10-40%, aluminum triphosphate of 1-10%, nano silver of 0.1-5% and a bentonite sedimentation inhibitor of 1-10% and stirring and swelling the mixture; adding castor oil derivative flow inhibitor of 0.1-5%, stirring the mixture and increasing a temperature; injecting methyl ethyl ketone of 0.1-5% and xylene of 0.1-5%, and stirring the mixture at low speed; injecting the balance of hardener, stirring and aging the mixture. |
