PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile electronic device capable of outputting notifying information reporting receipt of a new event in appropriate timing. SOLUTION: This mobile electronic device 140 includes: a notification controller which outputs an initial notification which is outputted when an event is received, and a follow-up notification which is outputted again if there is no response from a user to the initial notification; a motion detection logic unit 225 for detecting changes in the state of motion of the present device; and an interruption logic unit 230 for determining whether the follow-up notification is outputted by the notification controller or not, in response to the change in the state of motion of the present device.
