PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide measuring apparatus capable of prolonging its life by preventing degradation of a carbon dioxide gas sensor provided in a toilet bowl, as well as a health condition measuring apparatus incorporating the carbon dioxide measuring apparatus. SOLUTION: A carbon dioxide measuring apparatus 12 is provided in an exhaust passage 4 for a deodorizing fan of a toilet bowl, and is composed of a deodorizing fan 5, a deodorizing cartridge 6, and a carbon dioxide gas sensor 7, arranged in order from windward. A health condition measuring apparatus 13 comprises the carbon dioxide measuring apparatus; a memorizing section 9 for storing a conversion coefficient or table between carbon dioxide concentrations in a coincident gas and acetic acid concentrations in feces, and a conversion coefficient or table between acetic acid concentrations in feces and pH values in feces; and a controlling apparatus 8 for estimating a pH value from data of the carbon dioxide concentrations and each conversion coefficient or table.
