PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable member hardly abraded by corrosion, and having repeated cryogenic durability and defect growth suppressing effect, and also to provide an open rack-type vaporizer using the same. SOLUTION: This durable member 2a used in a heat transfer pipe or a header pipe for the open rack-type vaporizer has a resin coating layer 3 composed of a vinyl ester resin on a part or the whole of a surface of a base material 2, and the resin coating layer 3 includes particles 4 of at least one selected from oxide particles, metallic particles having natural oxide films on surfaces, and metallic particles having oxide films on surfaces, having an average particle size of 0.05-10μm by 0.1-10 vol.% to the total volume of the resin coating layer 3, and has a thickness of 30μm or more.
