PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rope and a control cable which is corrosion resistant against moisture and can easily secure a required bending resistance. SOLUTION: The wire rope 3 shows a multiple twist structure having a core strand 30 made by twisting together a plurality of wires 300, 301a, 302a and 302b, a plurality of side strands 31 made by twisting together a plurality of wires 310 and 311a and by being twisted around the core strand 30. The core strand 30 and lateral strand 31 are made by SUS. The wire rope 3 furthermore has a resin coating layer 32 coating the periphery of the side strand 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
