PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book-binding system easily selecting a desired type of book binding consumable from a plurality of types of book binding consumables, and improving selection operability. SOLUTION: A device power source is confirmed (S1), and when power is turned on (S1; Yes), information on consumables mounted in a binder is acquired (S2). The acquired information is transmitted to an image forming device, and a consumables list stored in a storage part is updated (S3). A door of the binder is confirmed (S4), and when the door is opened or closed (S4; Yes), information on the consumables is reacquired and the consumables list is updated (S5). By opening/closing the door, a screen for setting color of the consumables is displayed, and input is done, and information of the list is updated. The information of the consumables is acquired from the information of the list and displayed on an operation panel screen for selecting, and thereby, the consumables to be used for book-binding is confirmed, and is surely selected.
