PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition from which a display panel having high reliability can be produced and which is free of poisonous lead and has a low dielectric constant, a low softening point, a high glass transition point, good matching of a thermal expansion coefficient with a substrate, and high water resistance. SOLUTION: The glass composition is oxide glass and has a composition ratio of≥62 wt.% and <78 wt.% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>,≥6 wt.% and≤16 wt.% R<SB>2</SB>O (R is one or more kinds of Li, Na and K),≥1 wt.% and <17 wt.% MO (M is one or more kinds of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba),≥0 wt.% and≤15 wt.% SiO<SB>2</SB>and >15 wt.% and≤30 wt.% ZnO.
