PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paper box enabling a granule confectionery or the like to be easily taken out without hindrance of a cover plate by keeping a standing state of the cover plate at the time of need. SOLUTION: According as the cover plate body 10 is raised, a closure plate 15 located at the take-out opening 16 rotates and an extension part 18 of the closure plate 15 rotates so as to turn to the inside of the box. The side 23 of the extension part 18 moves while slidably contacting the side 24 of an overhang part 22 facing the take-out opening 16, and the engagement of the extension part 18 with the overhang part 22 due to unbending keeps the standing state of the cover plate body 10.
