The device (1) has a light film arrangement (4) arranged on a laminar carrier (2) e.g. aluminum plate. A translucent glass fiber reinforced layer (6) is arranged over the film arrangement on a side lying opposite to the carrier and covers the film arrangement. A flexible elastic layer i.e. buffer layer (3), is arranged between the carrier and the film arrangement. An elastically flexible diffuser (5) is arranged between the fiber reinforced layer and the film arrangement, which is encapsulated in a water-tight manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a lighting device.
