<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operator discrimination device capable of accurately discriminating a person operating an in-vehicle device. <P>SOLUTION: The operator discrimination device 3 has an armrest 13 equipped with a sensor module 30 capable of performing transmission illumination by near-infrared rays 4A between a driver's seat 11 and a passenger's seat 12. The sensor module 30 has a light emitting diode 301 for emitting the near-infrared rays 4A and a photo diode 302 for receiving reflected light reflected by an object and outputting an electric signal. When there exists a person operating a switch 14 installed in front of the armrest 13, an ECU 31 performs the binarization processing and labelling processing of image data generated based on the electric signal outputted from the photo diode 302 and analyzes first/second connection components 63, 64 labelled by the labelling processing to discriminate whether the person operating the switch part 14 is a driver 2A or a passenger 2B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
