PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photometric device for setting properly an attainable cooling temperature. SOLUTION: In step S3, a CPU 11 compares a temperature T1 read in step S2 with a reference temperature Tr set beforehand. In the case of T1<Tr as a comparison result, a temperature T_L is determined to be attainable, and progression to step S4 is performed, and the cooling temperature is set at the temperature T_L. Meanwhile, in the case of T1≥Tr instead of T1<Tr as the comparison result, the temperature T_L is determined to be unattainable, and progression to step S6 is performed, and the cooling temperature is set at the temperature T_H.
