PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor face covering layer peeling apparatus capable of stripping and removing a floor face covering layer such as an asphalt waterproof layer from a floor face with low vibration and low noise. SOLUTION: The floor face covering layer peeling apparatus 1A comprises a rising blade 2, a towing means 10 and a lift restraining means 4. The rising blade 2 is arranged in a rising state from the floor face 20a and has, at the front edge, a cutting edge 2a abutting on the cross section of the covering layer 21 in the thickness direction. The towing means 10 tows the rising blade 2 arranged in the rising state from the floor face 20a, along the floor face 20a, with the cutting edge 2a placed on the front side.
