PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator capable of keeping a nonreactive section to a minimum even if an air-permeable area is limited. SOLUTION: The steam generator 10 is a sheet-like one, which comprises a generator part whose mass per unit area is 0.1-0.5 g/cm<SP>2</SP>and moisture content is 30-60 wt.%, and a container body with an air-permeable part 31 in which the generator part is contained. A fix part 34 to fix the steam generator 10 to a wearer's body is provided on the outer surface of the air-permeable part 31 in the container body. An area ratio of the fix part 34 to the air-permeable part 31 is 10-90%. A steam permeability of the air-permeable part 31 is 100-1000 g/(m<SP>2</SP>×24 hr). The generator part contains a powder (A) whose mean particle diameter is 10-50μm, and a powder (B) whose mean particle diameter is 0.1-2 mm therein. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
