<p>A fluorescent discharge lamp tube comprises a glass tube (9) filled with a discharge medium, a fluorescent film (12) applied onto the inner surface of the glass tube, and external electrodes (8) formed at external wall ends of the glass tube. The external electrode may have various shapes including a coil shape and a ring shape. Since the fluorescent discharge lamp tube has no electrode therein, its structure is simple and its manufacturing cost can be reduced. Also, the fluorescent discharge lamp tube can discharge electricity by making the most of gas atoms of the discharge medium with a discharge current of 1 mA or lower. The fluorescent discharge lamp tube can realize instantaneous light emission, high luminance, low power consumption, long life, low manufacturing cost, and low recycling cost.</p> |
