<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely determine fuel gas leakage even in leakage of a trace of a fuel gas. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 5 closes shutter valves 35, 36, 45, and 46 when a fuel cell 2 stops operating. After a given time elapses from a point of cutoff of a gas flow by closing each shutter valve, the control unit 5 determines whether an anode-side pressure is higher than a cathode-side pressure. When the anode-side pressure is determined to be higher than the cathode-side pressure, the control unit 5 determines that a hydrogen gas leakage has occurred, and turns on a warning lamp to restrain the fuel cell 2 from starting up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
