<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-aging agent, an antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory agent, a skin whitening agent, and a humectant which contain a natural component as an effective component and are widely applicable to the fields of external preparation for the skin, drinks and foods, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The anti-aging agent, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory agent, skin whitening agent and humectant contain an extract of Erythronium japonicum as an effective component. From the extract of Erythronium japonicum, many actions such as dermal fibroblast activating action, dermal fibrobrast 1-type collagen generation promoting action, human epidermal keratinocyte activating action, DPPH (diphenyl-picrylhydrazyl) radical deleting action, activating action for SOD (superoxide dismutase), epidermal keratinocyte arginase activity promoting action and melanine synthesis inhibiting action, are found. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
