PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect a connection state of a toner density sensor at low cost. SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 is provided with the toner density sensor 15 for outputting a detection signal KS based on a toner density in a developing device 13, by impressing a control voltage VS by a voltage control part 30, an analog switch 31 having a plurality of input ports for inputting the detection signal KS output from the toner density sensor 15 and a signal other than the detection signal KS and one output port, and for switching each of the plurality of input ports sequentially to the output port to be connected selectively, and a signal processing part 32 for processing a signal appearing in the output port. The detection signal KS of each color and the signal other than the detection signal KS are connected to the plurality of input ports, so as to make the signal other than the detection signal KS appear in the output port in advance to the detection signal KS of each color, when the analog switch 31 switches sequentially the connection.
