PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device which can compensate an optical output variation correctly and control an image density variation even when the droop characteristic of a semiconductor laser array varies. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic device includes a semiconductor laser array having two or more sources of luminescence, an optical output detection means for detecting the optical output intensity of the semiconductor laser array, and a current supply means for controlling the amount of current supplied to each luminescence source of the semiconductor laser array, and forms an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body by scanning a plurality of beams. The current supply means includes the first current source for supplying a fixed current to each luminescence source of the semiconductor laser array, respectively, the second current source which controls the supplied amount of current so that each luminescence source may emit light with a desired optical output based on an optical output detection result at the time of making each luminescence source of the semiconductor laser array emit light one by one, and the third current source which controls the current supplied to each luminescence source based on the optical output detection result at the time of making all luminescence source of the semiconductor laser array emit light.
