PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hand lay up molded article excellent in the impregnating property of a resin component into reinforcing fibers and also excellent in mechanical strength and tenacity. SOLUTION: This method for producing the hand lay up molded article is characterized by impregnating a molding composition containing a cycloolefin monomer, a ruthenium catalyst having a compound containing a heterocyclic structure as a ligand and a cross-linking agent into acrylic-based carbon fibers and then curing the composition.
