PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering damper device capable of permitting a rider to easily recognize the situation of a damping force of a steering damper when fail occurs in the steering damper and enabling safer handle bar operation. SOLUTION: A control means 30 has a display control part 36 for determining whether the damping force of the steering damper 10 is larger or smaller than a normal value based on at least one of an electric current level of an electric current detection part 36 for detecting an electric current flowing in a solenoid coil 22 and an electric current level supplied from a driving driver 34 to the solenoid coil 22 when fail occurs in the steering damper 10. A display part 40 is provided with a first display part 41 for displaying that the display control part 36 determines that the damping force is larger than the normal value and a second display part 42 for displaying that the display control part 36 determines that the damping force is smaller than the normal value.
