PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an optical device, the manufacturing cost, power consumption and size of the controller being lowered, saved and made small, respectively. SOLUTION: The controller of the optical device is provided with: a digitizing means for producing a digital pulse control signal which represents a control value of the optical device to be controlled, on the basis of a control target value and outputting the produced digital pulse control signal; and a driving means which is provided with a low-band pass filter having the band equal to or higher than that of the optical device and in which the digital pulse control signal is inputted/received, the inputted/received digital pulse control signal is smoothed and amplified and an analog drive signal for driving the optical device is produced and the produced analog drive signal is output.
