PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a switch by suppressing instantaneous frictional force (frictional vibration) to a swing fulcrum part 26 of a movable contact piece (an actuator) of a pressing type switch in closing an opening/closing body. SOLUTION: This switch pressing structure for the opening/closing body is provided with a case at the door end of the opening/closing body opened/closed with respect to a door frame. A trigger is mounted in a horizontally movable manner to the case. The trigger is energized to always project its tip part from the case by an energizing means disposed in the case, and the inner end of the trigger is integrally provided with an elastic pressing piece extending outward from one side outer surface, with its free end displaceable to one outer surface side by its own material quality. The pressing type switch having a movable contact piece which is swingingly displaceable is disposed near the inner end of the trigger. When the tip part of the trigger collides with the door frame side and retreats against the energizing force of the energizing means in closing the opening/closing body, the free end of the elastic pressing piece slides along the surface of the movable contact piece.
