PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide production methods where the generation of air pockets can be securely prevented without using a lower die having large ruggedness at the surface, and a glass gob and a glass molded body having reduced surface roughness can be efficiently produced. SOLUTION: When molten glass drops are dropped to a lower die, in such a manner that the collision between the lower die and the molten glass drops is performed in a reduced pressure atmosphere where pressure is made lower than the atmospheric pressure, the region of the circumference of the lower die is depressurized.
