An apparatus for processing a 3D image includes an image receiver to receive the 3D image and external illumination information associated with the 3D image, a saturation converter to convert a saturation of the 3D image based on the external illumination information, and an illumination converter to convert an illumination of the 3D image based on the external illumination information.
