METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE TRANSFER OF DATA ENTITIES FROM A SERVER UNIT ON A COMMUNICATION CHANNEL

A method for controlling the transfer of a data entity (24) from a server unit (2) on a communication channel (6) and reducing bandwidth usage on the communication channel (6) is provided. It includes a voting procedure (S32) for transferring, to the server unit (2), a vote on classification metadata of the data entity (24); and a generating procedure (S34) for generating, by the server unit (2), a community vote on the data entity (24) from transferred votes on classification metadata of the data entity (24). The transfer of the data entity (24) is controlled based on the community vote.
