<p>A sliding door closing device has a sliding member (18), an engaging member (12) mounted to a frame body, and a guiding member (20) and a spring force storing device (24) that are mounted to a sliding door (D). When the sliding door (D) becomes opened, the sliding member is engaged with the engaging member (12) via a trigger member (30) and the spring force storing device stores spring force when a pinion (26) of the spring force storing device rolls on the sliding member. When the sliding door is opened a predetermined width, the sliding member (18) is released from the engagement and moves together with the sliding door. Then, when the sliding door is moved in the direction in which the door is closed, the sliding member is engaged with the engaging member via the trigger member (30). The pinion is rolled on the engaged sliding member by spring force of the spring force storing device to return the sliding door to a closed position.</p> |
