A device including a reset circuit and a method for resetting the device are provided to reduce time delay with additional reset IC. A momentary power failure of AC power is generated (S101). A signal of the AC detector outputting voltage level of the AC power is changed from high to low(S102). A reset circuit unit is operated(S103). At the point of the AC power is terminated, the signal outputted from the AC detector is changed from low to high(S104). And the central processing unit is reset(S105).
