<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit and browse a video file accumulated in an accumulation device or a video file within a network-connected server, over limited network bands. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for browsing multiple moving images comprises: a cache memory 52 for accumulating a main video file, a proxy video file and a scene description file distributed from a video distribution device in the order of receptions; a means 91 for reading the contents of the scene description file from the cache memory; a means 93 for outputting time information streams being present before and after a video reproduction time in time information described in the scene description file; a means 94 for outputting still image streams corresponding to the time information out of described still image streams being present in the scene description file; main video reproduction means 12 and a proxy video reproduction means 13 for reproducing the main video file and the proxy video file designated by video information described in the video description file; and a means 17 for displaying the main video, proxy video, time information streams and still image streams. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
