PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera in which cleaning of an image sensor is facilitated by accurately indicating to a user a position of dust deposited on a surface of the image sensor. SOLUTION: In step S426, a CPU performs image processing and outputs a cleaning image file. In the image processing, such processing as to easily discover dust included in a cleaning image, for example, adjustment such as increase of contrast in image data is performed but processing for vertically and horizontally inverting the image data is not performed. In step S430, the cleaning image is displayed on a display. In image processing performed in the step S426, cleaning image data are not vertically and horizontally inverted. Therefore, vertical and horizontal directions of the cleaning image displayed on the display become the same as vertical and horizontal directions of an image sensor watched from a lens mount side of a digital camera.
