PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera that operates in response to a memory having a defective bit, and to provide a method of storing the image thereof. SOLUTION: In a system LSI 10 in the digital camera, a memory test part 30 detects defective bit information by testing the defective bit in an image memory 28. When there is an access of write or read of data to the image memory 38 and the access is to the defective bit of the image memory 28, a data replacement circuit 32 controls a replacement buffer 34 in place of the defective bit so that it is accessed.
